Working with the Media

We provide an array of services to members of the press who cover activities of the International Environmental Research And Safety Service (IERSS) around the world. 

• Accreditation for journalists who wish to access IERSS premises. 

• Logistical assistance in the coverage of meetings and special events. 

• Dissemination of statements, reports, press releases, and other IERSS documents. 

• Daily Media Alert announcing meetings, press briefings, and outreach functions. 

Press Pass Policy

It is important to note that, not having an IERSS Press Pass would prevent persons identifying as media from attending Department-sponsored news conferences or events to which the media is invited.  

Who is eligible? 

“The Executive Board is hereby authorized, and may delegate the authority to the Global Communications Department of IERSS, to issue media identification cards aka press pass (hereinafter “cards”) only to those whom the Board or the Department determines to be actual news-gathering representatives of newspapers or publications, news services, radio or television stations maintaining a regular news service or to self-employed reporters and photographers who regularly cover news events.”
